Barry Arnold: Prof. Barry C. Arnold is Distinguished Professor of Statistics, Emeritus at the University of California, Riverside, CA, USA . He obtained his B.Sc. degree from McMaster University (Mathematics)(1961) and his M.S.(1963) and Ph.D. (Statistics)(1965) from Stanford University. His main research interests include Estimation Theory, Probability, Stochastic Processes, Order Statistics , Mathematical Learning and Biological Models and characterizations. He is a Fellow of the American Statistical Association , the American Association for the Advancement of Science , the Institute of Mathematical Statistics, the Royal Statistical Society (London) and is an Elected an elected member of ISI (Netherlands). He is or has been on the Editorial Boards of many reputable journals including Journal of the American Statistical Association, Journal of Multivariate Analysis, Sankhya, Communications in Statistics, Metron and many others. He has published around 300 papers and ten books.
